ABOUT NORMA NIKUTOWSKI
Norma Nikutowski earned her degree in Psychology and worked with clients with depression by helping them to focus on positive experiences. Later, after earning her Master’s degree in Mild to Moderate Disabilities, she assisted students with disabilities and their families to focus on their strengths to achieve their annual and long term goals.
She started this blog to share her explorations and findings about how making little changes in your everyday routine will increase your enjoyment of life and feelings of fulfillment right now and in the future. It’s about finding out what you can do each day to create the life you had always wanted to live.
Her book, Turn Your Happiness On, is a synthesis of all the insights she has gained from studying, reading, and helping others.
NORMA’S STORY
Norma grew up in Argentina in a loving family that was always concerned about safety, probably because they survived the Second World War. The kitchen cupboards and closets were full of food cans, rice, and noodles. The front door had three different locks. The garage was full of dusty tools, gadgets, and boxes that her father thought they may need some day. Her parents thought the world was scary, and home was the safest place to be.
In her twenties, after earning her own money tutoring students, she decided to visit the places that most inspired her imagination. Since she was young, she has been fascinated by ancient Egypt and profoundly impressed by the intricacies of hieroglyphs, afterlife beliefs, funerary practices, and the eccentricities of Cleopatra. Norma went on a solo backpacking trip to Egypt and turned her
happiness ON for the first time. She discovered that happiness was not about travelling but about doing things she had always wanted to do.
In her thirties, she got married to the love of her life, moved to the United States and had two kids. Now she enjoys sharing what she has learned about happiness through her writing, coaching and speaking.
